Description: This walk starts by visiting the ancient monument
of Tarr Steps, the clapper bridge over the River Barle. It then
gains height on to Winsford Hill to visit the ancient Caratacus
Stone, crossing open moorland and probably seeing Exmoor
ponies. The walk passes through an old farmstead before
returning for lunch at Tarr Farm.

Description: This walk starts at the 13C old coaching inn still
reliant on a generator for its power. True candlelit dinners are
not necessarily a thing of the past. This fairly easy walk follows
old tracks to visit one of the major barrow sites on Exmoor
before descending Whitefield Down with good views before
returning to the pub for a delightful lunch.

Description: This walk starts by the delightful National Trust
village of Selworthy Green. It gains height through mixed
woodland to visit the Acland Memorial Hut. The walk then joins
the South West Coast Path for a while before losing height to
reach Hindon Farm where an excellent brunch awaits you.
A short walk brings you back to the start where you can go and
visit the church and village.

Description: This walk follows the East Lyn river valley, soon
climbing out of the valley to follow its cleave to Countisbury.
The walk passes the old church there before reaching the South
West Coast Path high above the cliffs. The walk then descends
with excellent views of Lynton and Lynmouth before passing
through the woods back to Rock House for a cream tea
on the terrace.

Description: Walk through some of the best coastal scenery
along the South West Coast Path & past one of the highest
waterfalls along this coast, viewing a rock arch and stunning
vistas along to Foreland Point in one direction and Watermouth
in the other. Lunch will be at the Hunter’s Inn, which the Daily
Telegraph describes as ‘blessed with the most magical setting
- it’s gorgeous’, who will be providing an Exmoor ploughmans;
choose game pâté or cheese.
