...provides a showcase for local produce from a variety of independent food and drink producers based in the scenic Exmoor area.
Events over the 10 day period, from 2nd to 10th October, range from indulgent cream teas to informative farm visits, from tasting platters to a beast of a brunch, game suppers to a pleasant meander around the Minehead Farmers Market. And there is the chance to see and taste a wealth of local food and drink ‘under one roof’ at both the Porlock Food Fayre and the Lynmouth Producers Market – it is all here for you to see, devour and enjoy!
This year we are delighted to include the North Devon and Exmoor Autumn Walking Festival. Feeling guilty about increasing the waistline by partaking on the local delicacies? Then ease the guilt by taking part on some of the food walks on offer! Bookings can be made on the walking festival website www.exmoorwalkingfestival.co.uk.
Get your children involved with their food – there is a pumpkin event aimed at the younger members of the family or a cookery course where families have fun learning together.
Why not make a weekend of it and take in the wonderful walks, beautiful moorland and scenic coast? You can find more information on what to do, where to see and places to stay on: www.visit-exmoor.co.uk, www.exmoor.com and www.activeexmoor.com.
Grid references can be found in each event listing to easily locate the area of the event using the festival map. We would advise you to call an event for more detailed directions or use the Google map. We would encourage visitors to always check their directions and times directly with the event holder.
